Rational Numbers

In your own words, describe one of the following math terms: rational number, integer, or whole number. Be sure to give an example and use mathematical language. Your answer needs to be at least 3 sentences and will be graded accordingly.

An integer is a whole number or its opposite. For example, an integer could be a number such as 6, 8, or 9 as well as -6, -8, and -9. Integers are numbers that you would ordinarily find on a number line and include positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero.
